madi "Bubbles" ferris ~ November 3, 1995 -May 16, 2017

Madi lived a life full of joy with an infectious smile.  She never met a stranger and was always ready to support the underdog.    As a young child, she was precocious, opinionated and outspoken.   Even so, she was fiercely loyal and a friend to all who came in good faith .  

She got her nickname "Bubbles" from both her outgoing, fun loving personality and her odd habit of blowing bubbles while on the pitcher's mound. 

She was a top student in the classroom and a hard working athlete on the field.   Madi never believed in excuses or placing blame.   She believed in hard work, personal responsibility, and honesty.    Acting on those beliefs, Madi built  a resume of community service, academic and athletic achievement that put her in a position to choose any education and career path she desired.  

Starting in 2010 and ending with her untimely death in 2017, Madi suffered from a wide variety of progressively worsening  medical conditions after contracting a virus.   Her cardiovascular system was beset by POTS, her reproductive system was destroyed by PCOS,  her digestive system suffered from gastroparesis and reflux, her central nervous system constantly attacked her entire body causing her to live in pain 24/7/365.  Starting in 2013, she endured continual headaches ranging from your garden variety headache to totally debilitating migraines.  

Through it all, Madi maintained her positive demeanor and focused her energies on sharing her story, experiences and helping others similarly afflicted.     The Bubbles Project will continue those efforts and achieve her desire to improve the lives of others.
